Engines and performance
The new 2023 Ford F-150 is available at Woodhams Ford in a variety of engines. You could start at the base with a 3.3-liter V6 with 290 horsepower, or move up to a 5.0-liter V8 with 400 horsepower or a 2.7-liter V6 that's twin-turbocharged and good for 325 horsepower. Not quite enough? Move up to a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with 400 horsepower or a 3.0-liter diesel V6 that comes with 250 horsepower and plenty of torque.
Ford is also making a hybrid powertrain available for the first time with a mighty 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 and a powerful electric motor. The combination results in 400 horsepower and an amazing 700 miles of driving range per tank. A four-wheel drive Ford F-150 Lariat with a hybrid powertrain can rocket from zero to 60 mph in a brisk 5.4 seconds.
Towing and payload capability
At the base there’s 3.3-liter V6 engine that can give you a maximum towing capacity of 8,200 pounds. That 14,000-pound number gives you the best towing capability of any full-size truck in the country.
The venerable 5.0-liter V8 isn’t far behind with a maximum towing capacity of 13,000 pounds. The diesel V6 engine can pull 12,100 pounds and the hybrid model can tow as much as 12,700 pounds. Payload capacities range from 1,840 pounds to 3,250 pounds.
