The phrase “Built Ford Tough” isn’t just a saying for the all-new F-150: it actually means something. That’s because the 2022 F-150 offers both best-in-class towing and best-in-class available payload. Unlike other pickups that promise the world but can’t deliver, the F-150 offers 14,000 pounds of available towing capacity. It also offers a high-strength, military-grade aluminum alloy frame that can hold a max payload of 3,325 pounds when equipped with the 5.0L V8 engine.

That’s not even the half of it. New F-150’s are so capable, they’ve been outfitted with a Smart Hitch system to help evenly distribute the weight in your trailer. Activated through the center touch screen console to determine your trailer tongue weight, the Smart Hitch informs you if your weight is evenly distributed through the FordPass mobile app or SYNC 4 screen in the vehicle. Similarly, the bed of the F-150 actually includes a payload sensor to tell you if your weight exceeds the max capacity or not.
